Paulina Vergara Buitrago was recently awarded the Esri and Women in GIS Scholarship. The WiGIS Awards recognize the contributions of women to geospatial fields. Paulina's scholarship will provide funding for
educational expenses related to her research project, Environmental management in the Rabanal Paramo (Colombia): Connecting peasant knowledge and ecosystem services.
