Recent advocacy focuses have included:
- Anti-racism actions and efforts to increase diversity & inclusion in the department
- Removal of the GRE admission requirement to the NRSM program
- Developing an advisor-advisee agreement to facilitate conversations between new students and their research advisors
- Improved communication and transparency between departmental leadership and students
