NRSM students present at the Society of American Foresters Convention

Several NRSM students gave oral or poster presentations at the virtual Society of American Foresters Convention. The Convention took place from Nov. 3-6 2021. The following students presented their research at the event:

  • Tyler Gifford, MS Student: "Comprehensive review and evaluation of whole stand volume yield models for the aspen forest type in Minnesota"
  • Ella Gray, PhD Candidate:"Landscape-level patterns of eastern spruce dwarf mistletoe infestations of lowland black spruce in Minnesota, USA" 
  • Gwen Keller, MS Student: "Effects of flooding on survival and performance of potential replacement species in black ash swamps"   
  • Amy Shaunette, MS Student: "Beetle vs. tamarack: Is regeneration present after eastern larch beetle infestation in tamarack stands?"
