NRSM Student and Alumni Convene at COP27

December 12, 2022

NRSM had a strong presence at the 27th Conference of the Parties (COP27) climate summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. Alumni Anne Christianson (2021, advisor Kristen Nelson) and Nfamara Dampha (2020, advisor Stephen Polasky) were in attendance, along with doctoral student Hannah Jo King (advisor Mae Davenport).

Anne Christianson is now the Director of International Climate Policy at the Center for American Progress.

Nfamara Dampha is a researcher with the University of Minnesota's Institute on the Environment (IonE), and was featured in Sahan Journal following his trip.

Hannah Jo King was chosen as one of the University's student delegates by the IonE. Her attendance was made possible via various student support mechanisms at the University, including our program's professional development funding. Check out Hannah Jo's Twitter feed for some of her insights during the summit.
